How much heat tape will I need?

Most installations require 100 -150 feet of heat tape.
If you only need to keep the rain gutter from freezing, then you won't have to zig zag the heat cable on the edge of the roof, which saves alot.

Will heat tape actually stop Ice Dams?

When installed correctly, heat tape prevents leaks from ice dams. Some ice will still be on the roof, but there will be a melted path through the ice for melting ice and snow to follow without causing a leak.

Is Heat tape safe for my roof & gutters?

Yes- we install self-regulating heat tape designed specifically for roofs. It automatically adjusts its temperature based on conditions.
